Who can rent from Vaununi.fi?
Anyone traveling through Helsinki Airport can rent from us – whether you are arriving, departing, or transferring between flights.
Can I rent even if I am not flying through Helsinki Airport?
Yes, you can – as long as you are able to pick up and return the rental items at our airport location.
Are your products suitable for newborns?
Absolutely. Our selection includes products for all ages, from newborns to toddlers. Each product page clearly states the recommended age and weight limits.
How far in advance should I make a booking?
We recommend booking at least 48 hours before your trip to ensure availability, especially during popular holiday seasons.
Where are you located?
All rental items are picked up and returned at the Alepa store, located on the P-floor of Terminal 2 at Helsinki Airport, before security. A detailed map can be found in our "Pickup" section.
What are your opening hours?
We are open 24/7, every day of the year. Pickup and return are fully flexible according to your travel schedule.
Product information and usage guide
Are products cleaned and disinfected between rentals?
Yes! All our rental items undergo a rigorous cleaning and safety inspection process after every use.
Can I get help with installing the car seat?
Yes, you can easily find installation instructions and videos by scanning the QR code located on your rented car seat. If you need further assistance, our team can support you via phone or email before your trip.
What if I realize after pickup that I need a different product or an accessory?
You can modify your order subject to availability. Please contact us as soon as possible to arrange an exchange or an addition to your booking.
What if my flight is delayed or my return time changes?
Please contact us by email or phone to update your return time. We will do our best to accommodate your new schedule.
What should I do if the items I rented from Vaununi.fi are lost or damaged during the rental period?
Please report any loss or damage to our customer service (contact@vaununi.fi) as soon as possible. Detailed information regarding product damage or loss can be found in our terms and conditions.
Do I need to clean the rental products before returning them?
We ask that you handle our products with care and return them in the same clean condition as they were received. A cleaning fee of €50 will be charged for items returned in an uncleaned state.
Changes, cancellations, and refunds
My trip was cancelled. Can I get a refund?
Yes. If you cancel your booking at least 48 hours before the rental period begins, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start of the rental period are non-refundable.
Can I change my rental dates after booking?
Yes, subject to product availability. Please contact our customer service as soon as possible.
What happens if the airline delays or cancels my flight?
We understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly. Please inform us immediately, and we will review your case individually.
How do I know if my cancellation was successful?
You will receive a confirmation email as soon as your cancellation or change has been processed.
Booking, payments, and pickup
All payments are made securely through our website once you have selected your products and proceeded to checkout. We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, and PayPal.
Can I pay on-site at the time of pickup?
No, on-site payment is not possible. All rentals must be paid online before the rental period begins.
Where do I pick up and return the rented baby gear?
Pickup and return take place at the Alepa store, located on the P-floor of Terminal 2, before security. You can find detailed instructions and a map in our "Pickup and Return" section.
How do I return the products if my flight departs outside of store opening hours?
Our service operates 24/7, so you can return your rental items at any time by following the instructions provided in your booking confirmation.
Can someone else pick up the booking on my behalf?
Yes. If someone else is picking up your booking, please inform us in advance and provide the name and contact details of the person collecting the items.
Do I need to pack the rented car seat?
No need! Each rented car seat is provided pre-packed in a durable travel backpack designed for easy carrying. You don’t have to worry about packing it yourself.
Carry-on guidelines for rental gear
Can I use the rented stroller at the airport before my flight?
Absolutely! Since our pickup point is located before security, you can start using the stroller immediately after pickup and move comfortably through the airport with your child.
Can I take the rented stroller into the aircraft cabin?
Yes! The Babyzen YOYO (0+ & 6+) meets the carry-on size requirements of most airlines, allowing you to take it into the cabin. However, we recommend checking with your airline in advance, as regulations may vary. In our experience, all airlines operating from Helsinki Airport allow Babyzen YOYO strollers in the cabin. If the cabin is full and space is unavailable, the Babyzen YOYO can be safely transported in the aircraft's hold.
Can I check the stroller or car seat as checked baggage?
Yes. Most airlines allow baby gear—such as strollers and car seats—to be checked into the hold free of charge. Always confirm the specific terms of your airline before your trip.
Do you provide protective bags for strollers or car seats?
Yes. All rented strollers and car seats come with a protective bag or a durable travel backpack to ensure they stay clean and intact during the flight.
