Terms of service

These terms and conditions apply to all product rentals made through the Vaununi.fi online service. By making a reservation, the customer accepts these terms in their entirety.

1. Parties and Service

The service provider is Vaununi.fi (hereinafter "Lessor"). The renter is an individual or a company (hereinafter "Customer") who reserves a product through the service. The object of the rental is the strollers and any accessories specified in the order confirmation.

2. Reservation, Payment, and Pickup

  • A reservation becomes binding once the prepayment has been made.
  • Pickup and return of products take place exclusively at the designated location (Alepa Airport, Helsinki-Vantaa).
  • Upon pickup, the Customer must verify their identity and present the order confirmation.

3. Rental Period and Return

  • The rental period begins and ends in accordance with the order confirmation.
  • The product must be returned no later than the agreed time.
  • In the event of a late return, the Lessor reserves the right to charge a late fee according to the current price list for each beginning 24-hour period.

4. Use of Products and Customer Responsibility

  • The Customer agrees to use the products carefully and only for their intended purpose.
  • The products must be returned in the same condition as they were at the time of pickup. The Lessor reserves the right to charge a €50 cleaning fee if the products are returned heavily soiled.
  • Smoking and keeping pets in the strollers is strictly prohibited.
  • The Customer is fully liable for any damage to the product resulting from negligence, misuse, or loss.
  • Normal wear and tear (e.g., minor marks on the tires) is accepted.

5. Damage, Theft, and Loss

  • If the product is damaged or lost during the rental period, the Customer must notify the Lessor immediately.
  • In case of theft, the Customer must file a report with the police and provide a copy of the report to the Lessor.
  • The Customer is obligated to compensate for the replacement value of the product or the repair costs if the damage is beyond normal wear and tear. Note: We recommend checking the coverage of your personal travel insurance regarding rental products.

6. Right of Cancellation and Refunds

  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the start of the rental period to receive a full refund.
  • No refund will be issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start of the rental period or for unclaimed reservations.

7. Lessor's Liability and Force Majeure

  • The Lessor is responsible for ensuring that the product is safe and well-maintained upon pickup.
  • If the reserved product cannot be delivered (e.g., due to damage by a previous customer), the Lessor will attempt to provide a replacement product or refund the paid amount in full. The Lessor's liability is limited to the maximum of the paid rental price.

8. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes shall primarily be resolved through negotiation. Consumer customers have the right to submit the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board.
